A MESSAGE FORMER SPGSR ALUMNI ADVISOR
I remember Gollis University School of Postgraduate, Graduate Studies and Research (SPGSR) as inspirational, innovative and caring. SPGSR was a family in its own capacity. I am glad to join my alumni colleagues to encourage you to advance your studies just in case you have a chance. It is good for the future development of our country. Nelson Mandela once said that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” When you are pursuing a Master's Degree, you discover a lot of unknown approaches and strategies to practical problems of society. As we move on with the future, remember that the world is changing day by day due to technological advancement. What does this mean? It means that the way we live as Somalilanders, the way we operate at workplace, the means we use for addressing is also going to change with time or immediately. This necessitates that all citizens must be ready to design new means of survival. This is a journey which is not easy to sail individually but requires rather universal action to build a better future for with the younger generation will rely on. So please let us work together to empower especially the youths economically and in that way, they will be prepared to make this country a better place to live in. As alumni, we have great responsibility of sharing our field experience with all of you because we want you to live a much better life than we went through. We must design our own human security for the goodness of our grandchildren in the generations to come.
I thank you so much.
